World Explorer Day

World Explorer Day: Exploring our Multi-Cultural Heritage will take place on Thursday, February 8th from 2:30 pm– 4pm on the playground.   Students (and their families) are encouraged to come and explore the world through geography and culture.
If you’d like to participate, we still need:
  1. People to help set up (12p – 2:30pm)
  2. People to work in different booths at the event (2:30p – 4pm)
  3. People to help break down the event (4pm – 5pm)
  4. Folding tables and EZ Ups on loan
Please contact Liz Barnett at to get involved.

Students will have an opportunity to handle artifacts from other countries and cultures, engage with maps, globes and atlases, have their names written in other languages, participate in cultural activities and more.

The goal of the event is to honor the diversity at Lowell, inspire curiosity about the world, and explore the idea of migration and how cultures move from place to place.
